Guess shld do abit of updates abt things that have been happening since the end of my exams.
Generally, youth camp was quite ok. Missed a few worship sessions and parts of 2 sermons which is like quite alot cos there are only 5 sessions. Was running around searching for lost youths from our region who was missing from the service and taking care of the sick. It was a busy youth camp.. i shld say.. but thank God i have endured it thru. Thank God for pple around that is encouraging to me and eliz and also of cos eliz that is working together with me taking care of the gals and aaron taking good care of jon. Did enjoyed the last nite.. no preaching.. juz worship and prophecies and prayer and the different things that were spoken. It was juz simply dwelling in the presence of God. Awesome!!
Initially didn't feel that the camp was great..tho' there were some new things learnt..but cos it was so bz.. i lost the whole focus somehow..but even as i take time to sit down and think about it and was reading thru' the sermon notes... guess camp was kind of a preparation for my fever trip in a way.. like the theme of the camp.. REACH. It's all about reaching out to the pple.. how God can use the ordinary if we are willing to. Thank God for the different things and seeing how his works is manifested thru' prayers. This camp was really a great time of regional bonding. Believed that the youths had enjoyed themselves and got to know each other a bit better.. and open up more thru the regional time. Thank God for that. As for me, it was a great opportunity to work with pple from different regions and got to know them better and having fun with them... It was tiring.. but thank God i was able to serve with joy and thus have fun while doing all these things.
Even for the fever 100 conference, it was really good. If i say that it's good.. it's really good.. haa.. =) cos if not, i'll juz say it's ok. (for those who know me well enuf). Anyway, this conference kind of geared me up. Tho' the morning session sermon was quite similar to wat pastor rick has preached before on the "CAT AND DOG THEOLOGY" but this time round.. it really struck me with some of the stuff. (Guess when pastor rick preaches this sermon.. i wasn't concentrating..opps!!..haaa) Everything is for the GLORY OF GOD! One thing that was said in the conf.. give even as u have received so that we can see him be glorified too. Even in this trip, so many times when asked why we are going, the answer that many of us gave is always.. "for exposure", "for experience", "so we will grow".. it's all about us.. and not really for the glory of God. It makes me realised that i'm more of a cat than a dog. Realised that i need God's help to change my perspective of even seeing things. To even be able to see things from his perspective. Everything about the conference is juz soooo good. The worship, the sharing and the workshop. The workshops are really cool. Learnt quite some stuff from the different workshops. Prayers, criss-cross cultures and even worshipping God in creativity.. not only thru' our mouth..singing songs and praising him but thru' even handicrafts. I can say that no doubt the whole day conference was tiring and i did fell asleep at some part (very seldom).. but overall i really enjoyed myself and it was a new discovery of things. Seeing things from a different view. Everyday, am looking fwd to the next day conf. Tml is going to be even more exciting i guess cos it's the last day ma..hee..Things are getting more and more exciting. Next week.. the fever trip.. bought quite a few stuff for the pple in manila and was thinking of how we are going to reach out to the children and the pple in the slump areas. It's gonna be GREAT!!!
