HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR
Chinese new year once again. Not much mood... maybe cause i'm aging. When one gets older, they dun feel much for chinese new year and your ang bao seems to shrink. Dun even hit $100. My fren organise a few home visitation to collect ang bao but i am too lazy to go till to the distance. Not as excited anymore as when i was younger. Old liao.. not much energy left. Haaa.
Had reunion dinner on mon instead of tue cos of my siblings. All their in-laws are eating on tue so to prevent any clashes, we ate on mon. So nothing much to do on new year's eve. Thought that it's gonna be a boring one but was asked to go down to chinatown with one of my fren and his 2 frens. Reached there at about 1145pm and then rushed and squeezed our way thru' the crowd to get near the bridge to see the fire crackers and the fireworks. WOW!!! It was loud and u feel the atmosphere at that instance. But fireworks not that great. Think the one at river ang bao 2 yrs back was better. Caught the last train and reached home at 3am.
As for today, juz went to my grandma's house and my uncle's house after that. Got alot of compliments today... all thanks to my ao dai - my vietnamese costume. Everyone commented that i look good... guess it's cos i looked more feminine and i look different from usual. Took quite a lot of photos. Juz uploaded 2 new sets. Ooo... for the first time, saw my 13mth old cousin... she's so cute and she chooses pple to carry her. And surprisingly.. she lets me carry her. Haaa.. she likes me!!! And my little cousin Alloysius.. 5 year old but super duper smart. Everyone simply loves him cause he really knows how to talk. Talk alot and he behaves like a small adult, enjoy making conversation with him. He is very vocal and very sweet. He will go to all the aunties and uncles and wish them happy new year and say really sweet thing to them. Different ones different things. Like either wishing them good health or good business and etc.. Totally different for everyone. It's so amazing how he knew how to say all these cos they came out so natural from his mouth. And according to his parents.. they didnt teach him at all. Such a sweet boy. As my mum says " BIG HEAD BIG BRAIN" that's why so smart. And he knows how to recite tang shi. He's a chinese speaking so all my relatives enjoy talking and teasing him instead of my niece who is the same age as him. My niece is very quiet and shy and english speaking thus it's hard for them to communicate with her. Anyway, starting to feel the stress liao. First time after so many years... i'm being asked the BIG question. "When are u getting married?" Duh!! They should ask my cousin that question instead of me.. heee.. cos she's 6 years older than me. Manz... so paisay... =p
Tomorrow, my house will be noisy... guess as usual, everyone will be singing hokkien songs. Karaoke time again!!! Think i'll use the afternoon to either meet up with someone to catch up or to stay at home to study for my test and do my lab report before it gets noisy in the evening when all my relatives come.
