*2007*2008*

It has been a good 2007 for me especially in terms of work. Having a great supervisor and great colleages. Managed to know quite a few younger colleagues towards the last quarter of the year and all of them are around my age so felt so much better working in this division now. Now praying hard for a bigger bonus in january and a big pay increment in april.. last year's was pathetic.

2008 has started great too. Was invited to my secondary school friend's house (which is also matthew's good friend) for dinner. His wife cooked us authentic malay food.. It was spicy and great!! Had a good time catching up and talking about the old school days and how matthew had waited for me for so long and we are finally together. Haaa..

After dinner, 4 of us went on a river taxi tour which we have bought the tickets earlier. The boat stopped at esplande and and waited for the countdown and fireworks. IT WAS REALLY A GREAT EXPERIENCE. And definitely a clear view of the fireworks without having to sequeeze with so many people. After the fireworks, people on the boat got really hyper and and kept waving and shouting Happy New Year to the people on shore.

And as the boat past by the benjamin shears bridge, he asked me if i remembered what i had said abt 1 mth ago on that bridge.. but i couldn't remember... And he said this to me "You said you wanted a memorable proposal" and immediately he knelt down and took out a ring... and said "will you marry me?" Wooo.. I was super shock and I nearly cry.. but didnt really cry.. haha.. and i went "ohmygosh" and took me a while to nod my head while my friend and his wife were there taking photos of the process. haha.. It was quite a surprise la.. didnt really expect he will propose on the first of jan.





Looking forward to a great 2008 and preparation for our wedding.. haven't set a date yet... but it will be somewhere in 2009. =)
